As you beat each level, you can choose one of three buffs to break as you progress which may encourage you to “build” as you try to beat all five levels. You can relaunch a debuff by tier, however, relaunching a debuff can be complicated due to the fear that you may have something more threatening than you currently have.īut back to the good news. The choices become more interesting as the debuffs break into subsequent levels. All of these things can influence your decisions. This becomes quite interesting depending on your style of play, favorite charge, level of comfort with the scenario or whether you are ranking. The first thing you see when you enter Scramble mode is that you choose between two scenarios, each with its specific debuffs. One of those things we wanted to revisit was the stacking of buffs and debuffs while playing with the mode. Given the list of goals, there were things from previous Orcs Must Die games that we wanted to keep and simplify because they had their merits. If you lose all your rift points, you have to start a new race from scratch! These buffs and debuffs break down at all levels making the later levels more challenging. After beating each level, choose a buff to help you in future levels. This increases the challenge and provides interesting choices. At each level, select the scenario you want to play from two choices, each of which comes with a debuff that is applied. In this, try to beat five levels of progressively harder scenarios using a group of rift points – that is, if a group of Orcs enter the rift in the first tier, you don’t have many other rift points to survive any longer. We have created a new game mode in Orcs Must Die! 3 which we call Scramble. As you play you receive rewards and earn skulls for buying new traps, weapons, and trinkets, as well as purchasing items to improve your arsenal. In Orcs Must Die 3, set traps and use weapons to defend yourself from enemies trying to break riffs.
